Smart Engineering has been one of the 4 Spanish SMEs awarded in the 1st call of the METABUILDING PROJECT “Seed Call”. This call financed by the European Commission is part of the INNOSUP Horizon 2020 program with the aim of attracting innovation to the construction sector. In particular, the “Seed” call seeks to support SMEs in the technical or economic validation of innovation opportunities through intersectoral collaboration.

The funding granted has enabled Smart Engineering to develop a proof of concept for a new digital platform for online monitoring and management of concrete elements and structures. It incorporates multiple fields of innovation with respect to traditional monitoring tools in terms of data storage, generation and treatment.
Most current storage platforms do not allow easy access / analysis of information. Due to this, it is not easy for the manager to be aware of all the information available to him and to weigh all of it to make the best decisions. Our goal is to develop a secure geo-located repository capable of storing data according to topic and location that allows an intuitive visualization of all available information and integrates advanced visualization and analysis tools. The platform adopts technologies derived from artificial intelligence to digest the increase in data inputs in the future and promotes data processing and decision-making in real time.
