Smart Engineering and BASF Construction Chemicals signed a contratc to asses the sustainability of set accelerators

BASF Construction Chemicals Spain and Smart Engineering signed a new contract on May 4th, 2014. This new collaboration between both companies consolidates the position of Smart Engineering as a key innovation collaborator. The main objective of the proyect is to compare the global sustainability of sprayed concrete depending on the type of set accelerating admixture used (alkali-rich or alkali-free). This global sustainability assesment will be made considering economic, environmental and social aspects. Smart Engineering will use novel methodologies to asses the sustainability of the products developed by BASF Construction Chemicals. The study will be perdormed according with the multi-criteria methodology MIVES, developed at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia
